Onkologie

The Division of Oncology provides treatment for cancers of various organs. This includes treatment for common types of tumors (e.g., breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer) as well as rarer cancers (e.g., sarcoma) with the exception of blood cancers. An experienced team of physicians and nurses treat our patients according to the latest international therapeutic standards. The Division of Oncology emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration with other medical disciplines and the use of different therapeutic approaches in order to provide our patients with the best treatment possible. The psycho-oncology team also supports patients according to our holistic approach to care. As a research-intensive discipline, we attach great importance to the close connection between student training, teaching and research.

Philipp Jost

"The Division of Oncology team cares for cancer patients according to a holistic approach. The latest diagnostic and therapeutic procedures along with molecular approaches are just as important as psycho-oncological care and palliative medicine in an interdisciplinary environment."

Philipp Jost, Head of Division
